On Birth and Existence
I recalled this morning a phrase that I remember reading last night while skimming twitter. It was “birth is a curse and existence is a prison “. I didn’t think much of it at the time but as I mentioned, it was one of the first thoughts I had upon awakening. Me, being the questioner I like to be, would ask him who posed the question to defend his stance.
I also believe birth is a curse.
The next question to ask is why is birth a curse? One can easily begin to come up with individual reasons to satisfy (or justify) one’s beliefs. I am all for that as long as those reasons one comes up with align with truth and reality. In my previous article “Can Anyone Know ‘What Is Purpose’ In 2018 “I speak about a humans knowledge of a type of perfect ideal and one’s inability to ever perfectly embody those ideals.
Once we are able to see the corruption that is embedded not only in the world around us but in ourselves as well, then can we dive deeper into the cause of the apparent curse that is upon humanity.
Let us define the word curse. A curse is a solemn utterance intended to invoke a supernatural power to inflict harm or punishment on someone or something.
This curse lives in humanity and will live with us until the end of our lives. Our existence will suffer and go through the pains that all others before have also experienced. Therefore it seems appropriate to state ‘existence is a prison’.
A curse can be lifted.
